Who we support

On the student’s assessment morning, we discuss the support needed. This might be learning support in a class shared with other students or it might be more focused support such as 1:1. We also have a range of therapies available.

All students have a circle of support which includes a personal tutor, a personal learning support assistant and, a key worker if the student lives in supported housing. Students meet regularly with these people to talk through how they are getting on and if any additional help is needed.

Our additional learning support co-ordinator is here to organise that extra help and to liaise with the domiciliary care team to ensure needs are met.

Any student can access our domiciliary care and support, which can provide a support package to meet the needs of the individual. Our team can support students with all aspects of daily life such as personal care, menu planning, laundry and shopping. We find out what is important to the student and their life and help them achieve their aspirations.
