London Marathon Terms and Conditions

Virgin Money London Marathon 2021 – Charity Place Terms and Conditions 

The following terms and conditions apply to those successful in securing a charity place:

  • For this event, we require a registration fee of £100 (non-refundable and non-transferable) which must be paid within one month after we confirm your charity place with you.

  • In addition, you pledge to raise a minimum of £2,000 (excluding registration fee and gift aid) in sponsorship money for the Orpheus Centre, which should be received by the Orpheus Centre by the end of November 2021.

  • We cannot defer charity places over to the next year.

  • You will be required to complete a registration form on the entry registration system for the organisers (the ‘console’). If you do not complete the form by your given deadline, you will lose your place and will not be entitled to a refund of your registration fee.

  • You confirm that you are medically fit and that you participate in the event at your own risk. The Orpheus Centre will not be held responsible for injury or illness resulting from your participation in the event.

  • You understand that it is your responsibility to read any terms and conditions issued by the race organisers and to comply with these.

  • The minimum age for this event is 18 years old. You confirm you will be the minimum age on race day (Sunday 3rd October 2021).

  • As the event is external to The Orpheus Centre, The Orpheus Centre shall not be liable for any loss or damage that participants suffer as a result of taking part in the event.

  • Should you, for whatever reason, not take your place, all sponsorship forms and monies collected should be forwarded to the Orpheus Centre or returned to your sponsors. 
  • You have provided The Orpheus Centre information about you and consent to The Orpheus Centre using this data. You understand that it will be necessary for The Orpheus Centre to share the data with the race organiser in order for you to participate in this event. 
  • This event may be photographed or filmed for our use in print, press and online marketing. By attending this event you are giving consent for images of you and your supporters to appear in these. If you have any concerns or do NOT wish to be part of these materials, please talk with a member of staff before taking part.
