Fundraising steps

Once you’ve decided how you want to raise money for Orpheus, we want to make sure you have the resources and advice you need to make your event the fundraising success it deserves to be.

Collecting donations or sponsorship

Decide how you’re going to gather sponsorship. Don’t worry, it’s easier than you think and there are two different ways you can do it:

Donation form

Get yours from the Fundraising Team. It includes an important Gift Aid option, which allows charities like Orpheus to claim 25p for every £1 that you donate. We also have Gift Aid envelopes you can use at your event. To receive your Donation Form download our Fundraising Guide.

Setting up a fundraising page

Setting up a fundraising page is the quickest and easiest way to let people know you’re raising money. Creating your fundraising page is really easy, just follow the Fundraising Page Instructions.

You can use similar websites such as JustGiving, Virgin Money Giving and MyDonate.

Publicising your event

Promoting your event is very important if you want to maximise how much money you raise – the more people who know about it, the more donations you’re likely to receive.

Share online

Keep talking about your event and why you are going it through your social media channels. Start an event or group on Facebook and share regular updates.

Update your friends

When it comes to fundraising every opportunity to update people counts, so don’t be afraid to use everything at your fingertips – email, social media or text messages.

You can never say thank you enough

Whether it’s for the donation they’ve made, the tickets bought, or the help they’re giving you, keep saying thanks.
