Fundraising ideas

Why don’t you do something amazing and fundraise for Orpheus?

Without the generosity and support of its donors and volunteers, Orpheus would simply cease to exist. As a registered charity we need your help to continue our life changing work with young disabled people.

Contact the Fundraising Team and we’ll be there to support you getting started and provide all the resources you need.

Ideas for fundraising

Whether you're looking to throw a sparkling gala dinner, host a quiz, skydive or set up a local bake sale, every single pound you raise will make a difference to young disabled people.

There are many ways you can support Orpheus. Just in case you need a bit of inspiration here a few ideas to help with the creative process:

Get physical

From a sponsored walk round the park to taking part in your first triathlon, lace up your trainers and get active for Orpheus! Why not check out some of our Challenge Events or if you fancy one that is not listed you can still take part and raise sponsorship for Orpheus. Ask us how by emailing [email protected].

Bake sales to dinner parties

Whether or not you think you’re the next Mary Berry, cooking a tray of scones to sell or feeding a large crowd for Orpheus, every cake slice you sell or canapé you cook will help us to enable young disabled people become independent in their communities.

In need of some advice on food hygiene? Visit the Food Standards Agency for practical advice, and let us know what you’re planning so we can help.

Large scale events

Organising a glittering charity ball or elegant dinner party? Here’s some simple tips to make your event a huge success

  • Speak to the Fundraising Team and ask for help, we’ll be on hand to give you support and practical advice.
  • Give yourself sufficient time to put in place everything you need, this may mean starting with planning at least nine months before your event.
  • Think about your guest list, send your invitations early and advertise your event in the local newspaper.
  • Everyone likes a good raffle, contacting local businesses are a good place to start collecting your prizes.
