An introduction to the facilities at Orpheus

The art studio at Orpheus is full of everything you need to support your creativity and bring your ideas to life!
Student and Staff using the recording equipmentThe recording studio has state of the art recording equipment, software and instruments. Orpheus students use it to advance their knowledge of music and audio technology. All of the original music used in our productions is recorded here.
Student using the outdoor gym equipmentThe Orpheus outdoor gym and multi-use games area (MUGA), is designed to give students and staff the opportunity to get more active and support healthier lifestyles.
The media suite is fully equipped to help the students create, direct and edit their own work.
The Sensory Room is a wonderful space where students go for either some quiet time or as an additional space to hang out with their friends. It has different sensory elements such as a bubble tube, a musical bean bag and fibre optic lights.

An important part of life is being able to cook or instruct someone else to cook your food exactly as you like it. Our Life Skills Kitchen and Independence Hub has been adapted to learn these skills in a supportive and accessible environment.
Most students use our canteen to buy lunch and socialise with their friends, staff and volunteers. We have a dedicated catering team at Orpheus who make a variety of lunches every day.
Sensory Bench/Flower box with tactile ornaments. We have beautiful grounds at Orpheus. The Orpheus sensory garden serves as a lovely peaceful space for students and staff to relax and reflect. With a soothing water feature and lovely array of flowers and herbs it’s a sensory delight and a much loved space in the Orpheus grounds.
5 Orpheus students stood in front of each other, performing to an audience in the Orpheus Barn theatreThe Barn Theatre is an 18th century dutch barn with a traditional thatched roof. The space is used daily for teaching drama and dance, as well as regularly for public performances such as productions and talks.
