Learning Orpheus is a specialist further education college tailored to young disabled adults aged 18-25. We are unique in that by developing the students’ passion for the arts they can build their confidence, communication and social interaction skills for life. Sessions take place in the classroom as well as out in the community working with other organisations and settings. The students’ curriculum includes focus time on their chosen major subject, project based work, Company Day where all students come together to work collaboratively, personal development and life skills sessions, internships and work experience placements and vocational studies. We prepare students for adulthood: to live independently, to find employment, to have an active social life, to contribute to their local community and to lead a healthy lifestyle. Each student has their own personalised learning programme which gives plenty of opportunity to explore careers and nurture creative skills. Manage Cookie Preferences
