Volunteering at Orpheus

From session support in music, art, drama, life skills, computer skills and many more to befriending, gardening, reception, IT and administration, events, fundraising and assisting backstage in productions, there are a many ways you can get involved. Whether you want to offer your expertise or learn new skills in the process, there is sure to be the perfect volunteering role at Orpheus just for you.

Additionally, we offer students working towards their Duke of Edinburgh's Award a chance to volunteer at Orpheus. This is usually in a befriending role, one day a week. We also accept students from local colleges on work placements.

Register your interest to volunteer here and Sue Mitchell, our Volunteer Co-ordinator, will get back to you by email or phone to have an informal chat. Alternatively call 01883 744664.

Orpheus also offers young people from all over the world the chance to volunteer and live at Orpheus for one academic year through the European Voluntary Service (EVS) programme. Each year we welcome three new residential volunteers to Orpheus, giving them the chance to help and support our students. These volunteers not only bring a huge amount of energy to the Orpheus family, they also bring fantastic skill and knowledge of the performing arts. In return, we give them a unique experience that they will never forget!

Applicants from overseas who are interested in becoming an EVS volunteer at Orpheus should contact ICYE UK. Please see www.icye.org.uk for more information or email them at [email protected].

If you are part of an organisation or company that would be interested in supporting Orpheus, you can find out about our corporate volunteer opportunities here.
