Rachel Black joined Orpheus as the new CEO in March 2019. Rachel brings a wealth of management and supervision experience to the CEO role at Orpheus.
Michael Gainlall joined Orpheus in January 2024. A qualified Accountant, he has significant experience in the further education college sector with a background in managing a number of service departments outside of Finance as part of previous senior roles.
Moira is the Chief Operating Officer at Orpheus. She joined Orpheus in Summer 2016. Moira has had over 20 years’ of experience in fundraising, marketing and communications in the charitable sector, including Marie Curie and the Willow Foundation.
Chloe joined Orpheus in 2016 as Deputy Head of Learning, moving onto Head of Learning and then undertaking the role of Orpheus’ first Principal. Chloe’s focus and passion has always been supporting others to achieve positive outcomes.
Sam joined in 2012 when it was a relatively new service. Sam has 20 years’ experience, working in the care sector in different fields and services. Before Orpheus, Sam worked for a local community based domiciliary service as the Registered Manager and oversaw a service with 30 individuals and two supported living projects.
Jay Harris started in the HR department at the Orpheus Centre in January 2018. A CIPD qualified HR professional with a passion for people and business. She is currently studying for a BA (Honours) degree in Business Management, Leadership Practice.
Tom Harris joined the Estates Team in June 2019. He is NEEBOSH (a) Qualified in Health and Safety and has a City and Guilds qualification in Water Management Control and Legionella. He is also a qualified Plumber.
Peter joined the Orpheus Centre in September 2022 as Head of Fundraising & Communications. He is an experienced fundraising leader, with real passion for causes focusing on welfare & development for disadvantaged children and young people.
