Job Coach/Support Worker

Full-Time, fixed term contract for 3 years, average 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: £22,433

The job coach will be an individual employed to help people with disabilities learn, accommodate, and perform their work duties. The job coach may work with individuals one-on-one and/or in a small group. In addition to working on skills related to performing specific job tasks, the job coach also helps with interpersonal skills necessary in the workplace. The coach will assess the worker’s strengths and needs and ensure that they are able to access the work placement and become competent in using work skills. The role will be to support young adults in their work experience in the workplace and on site at the Orpheus Centre.

Transitions Co-ordinator

Full-Time, 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: £24,970

The transitions coordinator will be responsible for creating personalised transition plans for individual students enabling them to have a smooth transition from Orpheus to supported housing and independent living.

You will work with tutors taking guidance in respect of aspirations and work with students to meet their needs in line with their wishes. This is a student led role where you will be identifying appropriate opportunities for independent living, employment, community inclusion and health in line with preparing for adulthood outcomes. You will be able to work effectively with key external partners including parents with the student at the centre of everything you do.

We are seeking experienced Team Leaders to come and join our Domiciliary Service, and share our passion for changing the lives of young disabled people. Our lively domiciliary team are part of our enthusiastic staff at the centre who are passionate about, and committed to, preparing our young disabled adults for independence, ensuring that they gain the necessary life skills and work experience before their transition into the wider community.
