The result was an enlightening look at society's attitudes to the disabled, institutions of incarceration, campaigners for change, and the resulting legislation that seeks to give equal rights to people with disabilities. Awa was joined at Active Prospects by fellow students Tyler who worked in Marketing, Catherine in Reception, and Loui who worked at one of Active Prospect's residential care services. Here are examples of her findings presented at the exhibition: Awa says: 'producing this exhibition has been challenging. I never knew how badly people with disability were treated in the past'. Read more about Awa and her work experience at Graeae, a theatre company showcasing the work of deaf and disabled artists. Manage Cookie Preferences
