My son Theo, Danny's brother, is a talented musician. He is also autistic, and had plans to "retire " when he finished school last year. However, he was very fortunate to be offered a place at the wonderful Orpheus Centre, a College where disabled adults can study the performing arts. Theo loves it there, and as he grows in confidence and ability we see his personality emerging. He loves composing and performing music, and is learning new skills daily. The running costs of the Orpheus are massive, so we hope to contribute a little by joining one of their fundraising events - The Nuts Challenge. This is a 14k muddy obstacle course in September. We haven't looked too closely at the details, as it's too late to change our minds now, and ignorance may be more comfortable than a clear picture of what we are going to do!
