Recite Me Recite Me We recently commissioned an independent accessibility audit of our website. The findings showed that there were several areas that required improvement. It is our duty to make sure that the Orpheus website is accessible to all so we have enlisted the services of Recite Me. Recite Me is an innovative web accessibility and language toolbar. It is cloud-based software that lets visitors to our website view and use it in the way that works best for them. Recite Me helps the one in five people in the UK who have a disability, including those with common conditions like sight loss and dyslexia, to access our website and many others in a way that suits them best. Used by companies such as Gatwick Airport, British Gas and charities such as The Prince’s Trust, Recite Me helps people to access websites to do the things they need to do, like find information about how to access services, accessing publications and reading news. The Recite Me toolbar has a unique range of functions including: · Have text on our website read aloud (including PDFs) · Download text as an MP3 file to play where and when it suits you · Change font sizes and colours · Customise background colour · Translate text into more than 100 different languages · Access a fully integrated dictionary and thesaurus You can find out more about how Recite Me works from the Recite Me user guide. If you have any questions about Recite Me you can contact us by email at [email protected] or call us on 01883 744664.
