The Domiciliary Care and Support team employs experienced care staff who are trained to the highest standards. All staff members undertake DBS checks prior to employment commencing. Staff members have a thorough induction programme that follows the ‘Common Induction Standards’ set by Skills for Care as well as other mandatory training including Safeguarding. Staff training is updated as required and includes the diploma in health and social care.
Nominated Individual Kerry Lake is a Social Work Practice Teacher and has BSc (Hons) in Health and Social Care, Training certificate, Certificate in Reflective and Evidence Based Practice, Certificate in Managing Care, Diploma in Social Work and Diploma of higher education applied social studies, NVQ level 4 Leadership and Management for care services, NVQ Assessors award, NVQ Level 3 in Care.
All of the work of our support team is overseen by our Registered Manager, Sam Owen. Sam has NVQ level 4 in health and Social Care and a Registered Managers Award.
In 2010, Jess Davidson, our Deputy Domiciliary Manager, won the Young Practitioner of the Year award at the Surrey Care Awards. A year later Services Manager Kerry Lake won the Manager of the Year award.
