‘Domiciliary care’ is defined as a service which is carried out in a person’s own home. It commonly covers aspects of personal care and domestic tasks which people may not be able to do for themselves.
Orpheus Domiciliary Care and Support Services
Any full or part time Orpheus student can access our Domiciliary Care and Support Service.
The service provides personal care to young adults over 18 years of age who may have a physical impairment, learning difficulty, learning disability or sensory impairment. Support is provided in the service user’s own flat, as well as throughout the centre and out in the community.
Service users are encouraged to develop their independence skills, manage their own support, and be in control of the way that they choose to live.
We aim to provide innovative and personalised support services, delivered in a person centred manner. We are constantly striving to exceed the essential standards of quality and safety. We employ a high quality, trained and well supported team of staff and believe in equal treatment and equal opportunity for all.
Our end goal is to support our service users to have the knowledge and confidence to live independent lives once they leave us. Many of our former service users have gone on to live in their own flats and manage their own care and support providers.
