Orpheus would cease to exist without the large team of volunteers who undertake regular support roles at the centre. From session support (music, art, drama, life skills, computer skills etc.), befriending, gardening, reception, events, fundraising and assisting backstage in productions, there is a huge range of ways you can get involved.
Why volunteer for Orpheus?
Volunteering provides an opportunity to put your skills to good use or to learn new ones. You will meet some wonderful people and enjoy helping within our supportive community. And most importantly, it is a way of using your spare time to do something worthwhile that makes a real difference to the students here at Orpheus.
Who can volunteer?
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, whether you are able to give up a couple of days as a one off, or a couple of hours a week in a long term regular position. As long as you have some spare time and enthusiasm, we would love your help.

Orpheus offers young people from all over the world the chance to volunteer and live at Orpheus for one academic year as a residential volunteer. Each year we welcome four new residential volunteers to Orpheus, giving them the chance to help and support our students. These volunteers not only bring a huge amount of energy to the Orpheus family; they also bring fantastic skills and knowledge of the performing arts. In return, we give them a unique experience that they will never forget!
Your support is vital. Whether it is supporting a fundraising event, taking part in a challenge event or supporting one of our perfomances, you really can make a difference.
