As a performing arts centre, we put on a number of events throughout the year.  As well as our popular shows in our barn theatre at the end of our short courses, we also produce a wide number of workshops and performances within the community as part of our outreach programme. On top of our regular programme we have a number of high profile events coming up this year including our annual performance at the Royal Opera House and a week long residency at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.

The Orpheus Centre + Project Phakama present

OUTDOOR SPECTACULAR

Outdoor Spectacular sees the Orpheus Centre grounds transformed into a maze of wonder and adventure, as Project Phakama weave their magic into every nook and cranny. 

 As part of our short course programme, this August Orpheus students are set to work alongside performers from Project Phakama, a youth arts organisation working across communities, producing high-quality arts and training young people as peer leaders. The groups will bring together shared experiences and stories which will become a short exploratory performance full of puppetry, music and audience interaction.  

Follow the trails of dancing shadows and flickering mysteries as four separate scenes unravel before you. Become entranced by the soft melodies and choruses whispering over the lake. But beware the masked figures waiting behind the doors and in the trees, watching your every move.  

What memories will be revealed? What characters introduced?
