The Orpheus Centre

Short Courses

One of the unique things about the Orpheus Centre is the amazing group of associated artists that we work with.  As a student you get the chance to work with leading professionals in their field.   Every year at the Orpheus Centre we have an exciting range of week-long short courses on offer, aimed at giving you the chance to participate in music, dance, drama and theatre. Each course is offered as residential and non-residential, so whether you want to come and live at the Centre for the week, or you would prefer to commute, we have something to offer you.  Each course is run by professional tutors and all end in a concert – either in the Orpheus Theatre or at an outreach venue. So come and meet some new (and old) friends, learn something new and enjoy the Orpheus Centre’s unique hospitality.  Short Course Students need to be over 18 years old and have a learning disability or physical impairment.

View various videos from our short courses on youtube. These include 'gestures in the snow', a dance piece made on a cold and wintery afternoon on our Dance Sensations course in January.

See below for the available courses, prices and booking details available from the centre.  For more information, you can download our short course brochure
